Those of you who follow Gallery’s motoring section as if it were your favourite religious cult will know a little about Honda’s CR-Z by now, having seen it featured in the top five hybrid & electric concepts that actually managed to make it through to production and as a little teaser in last month’s [...]

ICE AGE AN EVOLUTION AND APPRECIATION OF THE  HUMBLE MOBILE ICE CREAM VENDING VEHICLE     With dietary and health based absurdity threatening to eradicate ice cream vans from the schools, parks and estates of the English mainland we thought it’s about time Gallery took a stand and showed appreciation for a potentially fading [...]

Right, you’ve suddenly got yourself a shed load of cash (lets not ask how) and you want to blow it on a depreciating asset. What better than a brand new car, a best of the best one at that. Sports Car vs Luxury Car?

I must confess, until today I was under the impression that Saabs were for, how should I put this, the ‘older generations’ and that driving one would most likely be uninspiring; mediocre. You know the Swedes, they focus on safety and efficiency. Where’s fun in that?

What do you think of when you think of ‘hot hatches’? The Mk1 Golf Gti, surely? Fiesta XR2? Vauxhall Nova? Something newer? How about the Peugeot 205 Gti or Civic Type-R? All worthy claimants to the hot hatch mantle but that’s too obvious for us here at Gallery. You may have noticed that this month’s [...]

Ace Café Racer – Triumph Thruxton

I was just too young, or just not quite old enough, depending how you look at it to fully appreciate the era of café racer motorcycles, but the imagery sticks in my head, and I do remember hearing with awe the “ton up” boasts of those reaching 100mph on a bike, the Sixties’ equivalent of [...]

Alfa Romeo 147 Review

The Alfa Romeo 147 has been around a while now, and it has always been a pretty car, but in the Collezione edition the designers have made it beautiful. They’ve added leather seats, big 17” alloys, dropped and firmed up the suspension, and added a couple of other little touches that make it stunning inside [...]

Have you ever had a convertible? Have you often wanted one? Have you thought “one day perhaps, I too will have a convertible and when the sun is shining, it shall be me in my shiny new convertible that you envy”? Well, I have never had a convertible, but I admit I have often envied [...]

First, to dispel the misconception, you don’t need a Ferrari to do a rally to Monaco. Yes, there were a few in our collection of luxury cars but there were also vans, Minis, Jeeps and taxis. Variety is the spice of life right? As much as we’d all like to be Maximillion Cooper and pimp [...]

city slicker or mountain ranger?

The name of a new species of Volkswagen has its origins in the tiger and the iguana. With a pairing that would have intrigued Charles Darwin, the Tiguan is a crossbreed that combines the DNA signatures of an estate car, a hatchback and an off roadcapable compact SUV. Designed to bear a clear resemblance to [...]

Familiar with the Daft Punk Pyramid? Well I’m sorry Thomas and Guy-Manuel, but Etienne De Crecy has almost eclipsed your travelling stage with this epic installation. Those crazy french euro-house DJs, what will they think of next?

According to our publisher, we’ve ‘had a thing’ about this video this month. I’m not sure what he means by that, but what I do know is that Gallery accounts for probably one fifth of the seven million, two hundred and eighteen thousand, two hundred and twenty nine times the video has been viewed at the time of writing. That’s 1,443,645.8 times.  Yep, we’re so crazy that we watched it point eight of a time just to make the figures add up. Anyway, POWERTHIRST. It’s an energy drink for men.. MENERGY!

This month’s ‘Youtube video of the month’ was a close call between a Gallery favourite comedy classic involving a cleverly dubbed television advert and that epic new television advert featuring Brains from Thunderbirds dancing to Snap’s ‘Rhythm is a dancer’.  No contest really.
